LLOYD women’s collection Autumn/Winter 10/11
Preservation, reflection and awakening- we are living in a time in which there is the hunt for consciousness, adjustment and reorganisation. The LLOYD women’s collection autumn/winter 10/11 is grabbing a hold of this concept and offers reasonable prices along with quality and originality.
“We are currently finding ourselves in a phase between preservation and awakening, between conservation and a new beginning. The current LLOYD women’s collection – shoes, bags, belts and accessories right up to bracelets- zero’s in on functional everyday life and hides surprising innovations therein,” says Anja Frers responsible for the product management of both shoes and accessories. “Our products are not normal basics. They are unique just like truffles and tell a story about true values- not about superficial glamour,” continues Frers.
The new LLOYD season combines two contrasting trends: Softwear and hardwear.
“Softwear“ is a key look in the collection: modern and confident in its own way. The materials implemented (e.g. Nubuk leather) are soft and radiate a toned sense of calm. Not just the knee high stylish boots but also the soft bags cast their spell and enchant each woman. Even the topic of “riveting” is implemented in a very “soft” and “Lloyd-like” way- the rivets have been coated with leather through detailed handwork with upper material.
Overknee boots made from soft Nappa leather with a flat sole or high heel offer a wearing comfort which is beyond compare.
The counterpart to softwear is the so-called “hardwear“ look. Metallic details such as sequins or oversized zips are made use of here. The boots and bags from this collection have that “functional everyday look”, that extra special something. A stylish boot with an eye-catching zip can easily be turned into a chic and plain longboot just by releasing a small snap fastener. The matching bag has astonishing functions too: Through the implemented “zipper”, the size of the bag can be adjusted to the requested size and volume without too much effort. Narrow zipper belts in excess length bring an unexpected level of modernity to this urban look. Therefore, LLOYD is implementing a highly provocative topic in modern, innovative everyday functionality.
From a technical material point of view there are two highlights in the LLOYD women’s collection: „Noblesse Kid“ and „Grisu“. These are materials which, through their lively upper materials, give the impression as though they were reflecting on a rich life worth talking about. This “casualised” material can easily be worn with elegant pumps and modern plateau ankle boots as it can with sporty shoes. As it is exceptionally durable, it cultivates a new level of sportiness and functionality.
Along with black, midnight and fog-coloured neutrals, the colours of the season are also olive and intensively powerful nuances of red.
