| 1905 | On 30 May 1905 a new brand is registered in Germany. Behind the registration number 81842 lies the brand name LLOYD. |
| 1925 | LLOYD copyrights the name as a specific, recognisable logo. |
| 1927 | The entire company takes the name LLOYD. |
| 1942 | LLOYD begins successful production of the brand in Sulingen – and has stayed true to the city ever since. |
| 1949 | In Cologne, the first shoe exhibition since the great currency reform is a triumph. |
| 1968 | The red stripe is introduced by LLOYD and remains the brand mark for quality shoes and top hand workmanship to this day. LLOYD is one of the only manufacturers whose branding is placed directly on the product: the red stripe in the heel. LLOYD becomes an official footwear supplier of the German Olympic Team for the first time. It is the beginning of a successful partnership between LLOYD and the Olympic Team which will be repeated many times over the years. |
| 1969 | LLOYD begins one of the first "His & Hers" programmes. The twinned shoes have the names "Romeo" and "Juliet". |
| 1976 | Production capacity is increased with a new facility in Malta, four years after the factory in Sulingen was substantially expanded. |
| 1978 | In Italy LLOYD wins the biggest fashion prize awarded by the industry of the time: the Shoe Oscar. |
| 1983 | LLOYD goes Sports: motivated by the training shoe boom, the first leisure shoes are produced, such as the legendary "Rocky". The LLOYD Sport segment is created and becomes a permanent part of the range. |
| 1992 | LLOYD combines together the old and new premises to create a 60,000-squaremetre site that fulfi ls all the requirements for a new factory. |
| 1998 | The first phase of the new building is completed and the first production line is opened. |
| 2000 | The first LLOYD Concept Store is opened in Melbourne by a long-standing customer. LLOYD begins operation of the "Shoe Factory of the Future", a concept that was presented as a pilot project at the occasion of the Expo 2000. |
| 2001 | After almost 30 years LLOYD again includes a women’s collection in the range. |
| 2004 | The first LLOYD Accessories Collection is launched. |
| 2007 | LLOYD opens the first company-owned LLOYD Concept Store in Budapest, Hungary, at Fashion Street. Further stores are opened around the world under direct management from LLOYD and many more are planned. |
| 2008 | LLOYD exports its products to more than 40 countries and is market leader in many countries in the premium business shoe segment. The 48 LLOYD Concept Stores underline the intention to continue to expand the brand throughout the world and to build upon its success. The 120-year jubilee, combined with the 40th anniversary of the red stripe, is celebrated as a further step on the road to a successful future. |
